About the AI

When you use Reflection Partner, you're talking to a large language model. There's no person on the other side. No one is listening.

But here's what's also true: the model was trained on the full breadth of what humans have written, thought, and put into language — across psychology, philosophy, lived experience, and a very long history of people trying to put difficult inner experiences into words. When something it says lands, it's not because the AI understands you. It's because a real human truth, carried in all of that accumulated language, found its way to you through a new medium.

Because the medium is language — and language is so deeply human — the AI may feel less like a tool and more like a person talking with you. Nothing has ever spoken back to us in our own language like this, so that impression is natural. But feeling that way in the moment isn't the same as pretending someone is there.

If something clicks — if a session helps you see something you couldn't see before — what matters is the clarity, not how it arrived. A truth that reaches you through a strange medium is still a truth.
